School Consultation Team (SCT)

SCT is a committee of school staff and parents who meet to address concerns related to student learning and achievement. The purpose of the team meeting is to generate or modify interventions within the general education program that will promote improvement based upon the referral concerns. Teachers, parents, or administrators may refer a student to SCT. Typical team participants include: parents, administrator, classroom teacher, reading specialist, special education teacher, school psychologist, and SCT chair/school counselor.
