Mrs. Lorri Manley

Mrs.
Lorri Burton Manley has been employed by Bedford County Public Schools since
1990 when she was hired as a 2nd & 5th grade teacher at Huddleston
Elementary School. During her five years there, she served as the
Principal's Designee, School Consultation Team Chairperson and was awarded
Huddleston Elementary Teacher of the Year. She also taught 5th grade at
Big Island Elementary School and was also awarded Teacher of the Year at the
school level.
Mrs. Manley began her career as a school administrator
in 1996 as the assistant principal of Bedford Middle School. In addition,
she served as the assistant principal of Forest Middle School from 1998-2001.
She was appointed principal of Thaxton
Elementary School for one year before being transferred to Forest
Elementary School in the fall of 2002.
She
earned her bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Liberty
University in 1987 and received her master's degree in Educational Leadership
from the University of Lynchburg in 1993. Mrs. Manley is local to the
Lynchburg area. She is married to Garnet Manley, Jr, JFHS Golf Coach.
They have two children, Rachel and Garnet III.
