Individual and Small Group Counseling

Individual counseling is a helping process focusing on the development of specific goals. The purpose of school counseling is to enhance positive attitudes, personal responsibility, and respect for self and others. Counseling helps students cope with developmental problems. Referrals for this service come from students, parents, teachers, and administrators. All services are confidential.

A variety of topics are offered in small group counseling based on the identified needs of students; i.e. divorce, social skills, grief, listening skills, etc. Group members are selected according to developmental levels, areas of concern, and a willingness to participate in a group environment. Parental permission is required.
